MyTradeBee Policies

1) Who we are & what we do

MyTradeBee (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a listings marketplace that lets stingless-bee farmers and related sellers post ads and connect with buyers. We are not a seller or payment intermediary. We do not hold stock, ship products, or mediate transactions.

 

2) What this policy covers

This policy explains how we handle personal data and user-generated content (UGC), including what you post publicly (e.g., listings, prices, photos, videos, reviews, profiles) and private data you share with us (e.g., account details, support messages).

 

3) Your consent to publish content (UGC)

By submitting any content to MyTradeBee, you expressly consent to its public display on our site and related channels (e.g., search results, social previews, marketing emails about the marketplace).

Only post content you are comfortable making public. Do not include sensitive personal data (e.g., IDs, bank/card details, health data) in public listings.

You can edit or delete your listings via your account, but prior copies, shares, or search‑engine caches may persist outside our control.

You represent and warrant you have the right to post the content and that it is accurate and lawful.

 

4) Ownership & license

You own your content. By posting, you grant MyTradeBee a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute your content to operate, improve, and promote the marketplace.

 

5) Personal data we collect

  1. Account & profile: name, email, phone (optional), login credentials.

  2. Listings & media: text, images, pricing, locations you choose to publish.

  3. Communications: messages you send us; limited metadata about buyer‑seller contact initiated via the platform.

  4. Usage & device data: IP address, device/browser info, pages viewed, referral and cookie/analytics data for security and performance.

 

6) How we use personal data (purposes)

  1. To provide and secure the service, publish your listings (per your consent), prevent fraud/abuse, and improve features.

  2. To send service notices (e.g., account, security). Marketing is opt‑in; you can unsubscribe anytime.

  3. Payments normally occur directly between buyer and seller. However, some partners may use third-party payment intermediaries (e.g., payment gateways, escrow services, or e-wallets) to process transactions. Where this applies, those services are responsible for handling your payment data under their own privacy policies. MyTradeBee does not collect, process, or store payment card or bank details.

 

7) Legal bases (GDPR/UK GDPR)

  1. Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for publishing your UGC publicly and for optional marketing.

  2. Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) to operate your account and provide the marketplace service you requested.

  3. Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for security, fraud prevention, analytics, service improvement, and to display your content as part of the service.

  4. Legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)) where required (e.g., responding to lawful requests).

 

8) PDPA (Malaysia) notice

We follow PDPA 2010 principles: Notice & Choice, Disclosure, Security, Retention, Data Integrity, Access & Correction. You may request access/correction to your personal data, withdraw consent (affects future processing), and limit processing for direct marketing. Contact: mytradebee@gmail.com

 

9) Your rights (GDPR/UK GDPR & PDPA)

Subject to law and exceptions, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, and data portability (GDPR). You may withdraw consent anytime (doesn’t affect past processing). You can also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (e.g., an EU DPA or the UK ICO). Requests: mytradebee@gmail.com (verification may be required).

 

10) Sharing & international transfers

We share data with service providers (hosting, analytics, email, security) only to operate the platform under confidentiality/data‑processing terms.

Data may be processed outside your country. For EU/UK users, where applicable we rely on Adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) plus supplementary measures.

 

11) Cookies & analytics

We use cookies or similar technologies for login/auth, preferences, security, and usage analytics. You may control cookies in your browser; some features may not work without them.

 

12) Retention

We keep account and listing data while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for security, legal, or audit reasons. Public content may persist in third‑party caches we do not control.

 

13) Security

We employ reasonable technical/organizational measures to protect data. No method is 100% secure; you are responsible for keeping your credentials safe.

 

14) Children

The marketplace is not directed to children under the age required by local law for online consent. Do not use the service if you are below that age without appropriate guardian consent.

 

15) Prohibited content & takedowns

We may remove or restrict content and/or suspend accounts that are illegal, infringing, fraudulent, misleading, unsafe, or violate these terms. Rights holders can send takedown requests to mytradebee@gmail.com with sufficient details.

 

16) Marketplace liability disclaimer (UGC & transactions)

Content is user‑generated and not pre‑approved or guaranteed by us. We are not a party to sales and accept no liability for accuracy, authenticity, quality, safety, compliance, delivery, payment, or any user‑to‑user dealings. By using the marketplace, you release and hold us harmless from related claims and agree to indemnify us for claims arising from your content or conduct.
